On a professional level I spent 20+ years in various corporate sales and consulting roles. I made many great friends and colleagues along the way, enjoyed lots of different successes and would not trade those experiences for anything…but each day started to feel more and more like a grind. I also think I became increasingly tired of meetings and meetings in preparation for other meetings. Simply put – I really needed a change.
As it happens, I love being outside, find yardwork oddly satisfying and have a strong desire to contribute to my community in an environmental way. Combine all of that with some entrepreneurial spirit and Clean Air Lawn Care definitively checked all those boxes for me. I am proud to be the organic, sustainable East Cobb lawn care service provider.
As far back as I can remember I was taught the importance of recycling. I’m passing that on to my kids – we even save our glass and drive it to the recycling facility every few months. It is not uncommon for us to only throw out one normal kitchen sized trash bag per week (for a family of 5!). We try to water all of our shrubs and flowers with rain water we capture from a 55 gallon tote we installed under one of our downspouts. In March of 2020, we started a garden and utilize all of our kitchen scraps for compost.
Why do you think sustainable and organic lawn care important?Gas mowers/equipment represent 5% of U.S. air pollution! That equates to approximately 800 million gallons of gas yearly and tons of emissions that heavily pollute the air. For reference, a 2-cycle engine puts out 124 times higher volatile organic compound emissions than a truck or car. Noise pollution from gasoline powered lawn equipment is a huge nuisance to neighbors and wildlife. Further, traditional pesticides and herbicides contain toxic materials that pose proven environmental and human health risks.
By utilizing all solar and battery operated equipment (NO GAS/LOW NOISE) and custom blends of pet and family safe all-natural fertilization and weed control, I believe we can have a significant impact across our community.
I love the North Atlanta community. I’ve lived in this area for over 20 years and can’t imagine a time I’ll call someplace else home. From the moment I moved here I felt a strong sense of community. It is a wonderful mix of local and transient residents that offer a wide array of perspectives. We have an amazing and supportive social circle, wonderful schools and teachers and love the weather here year round.
This is a family business for us. My wife and three children contribute in so many ways to our success. I’m very proud of the example our Clean Air Lawn Care business sets for our kids. They’re learning a lot about what it takes to be successful business owners, the importance of hard work and believing in something they’re passionate about.
